These days, the world seems to be filled with lone wolves looking to tackle any and every obstacle that comes their way by themselves (side thought: wolves travel in packs so I don't know why lone wolf is a thing anyway). I know plenty of soon-to-be graduates who are great leaders, independent, and headstrong. But just because you're independent, does that mean that you can't be vulnerable and student-minded at the same time? Absolutely not.
Never be afraid to ask for help or advice from others. Think about the long list of helpful minds that you know: professors, parents, fellow classmates, friends, roommates, siblings, even those who interview you. The list goes on! Everyone has something different to offer with different ideas and viewpoints. Maybe you have a few typos on your resume that you didn't catch the first few times you looked over it. Maybe you're struggling to write your cover letter or find networking connections for potential jobs. If you never ask anyone for help, you'll never know the opportunities that may have been available to you. Plus, what's the worst that could happen? Someone says no and then you're right back where you started at square one. So what?!
As you keep on keepin' on with your job hunt or even AFTER you've found a job, stay strong but keep an open mind when it comes to feedback and don't be afraid to ask for it. Always be willing to learn and take constructive criticism and better yourself with it. Even the best have to ask for help and advice sometimes!
